FUTURE PLANS AND DIRECTION
WHAT'S NEXT
The Office of the Ombudsperson continues to be an integral part of ADB’s organizational culture, with its reputation for fairness, integrity, responsiveness, and a principled approach to dispute resolution.
As a result, the office anticipates that the Board, Management, staff, and other members of the ADB community will be motivated to increasingly patronize our services and collaborate with our team.
To better provide for the evolving needs of the ADB community, OOMP will carry out the following activities in 2025:
- Continue to support the organization during times of uncertainty and significant change;
- Advocate for new staffing structure and function for OOMP;
- Continue to enhance our information management tools to support appropriate decision-makers and the broader ADB community;
- Develop cutting-edge educational resources and activities to raise awareness, enhance understanding, and promote healthy engagement among members of the ADB community;
- Challenge ourselves to continue to “push the envelope” in the innovative use of communication tools and information technologies;
- Maintain high-quality conflict resolution service provision;
- Uphold the office’s thought leadership role in the profession by modeling a creative approach to our work; and
- Continue in-person field office visits and presentations.
